Caring for Our Community

Meet Sarah

Sarah Brough is an occupational therapist, mom, and problem solver running for House District 39 because our community deserves a representative who cares.

Growing up, Sarah learned that caring about others isn’t just something you say, it’s something you do. Even when money was tight, her dad never turned anyone away from his mechanic shop because they couldn’t afford repairs. She was taught that caring for your neighbor is at the heart of a strong community.

That same spirit drives her work as an occupational therapist. For more than 13 years, Sarah has walked into people's homes at some of the hardest moments of their lives — after a health crisis, after a fall, when independence felt out of reach — and helped them get back to doing what matters most. Here's what she's learned: when you step into someone's home, you're on their turf. They know their life better than you do. Her job isn't to tell them what they need, it's to listen, understand what's getting in their way, and find real solutions that work for them.

That's exactly the approach she'd bring to the legislature. You know what would make your life better. You know what your family needs, what your neighborhood is missing, what's getting harder to afford. Her job as your representative would be to show up, listen, and fight for solutions that actually help — not to make headlines or score points, but to deliver results for the people she serves.

Sarah will work on the issues that matter to this community: strengthening neighborhood schools, making life more affordable, and supporting families.
